Terms
Last updated 1 August 2026. The rules for using SeasonStamp, operated by Branislav Lelák, Slovakia.
What SeasonStamp is
A place where people who did a J-1 Summer Work Travel programme describe the job they had, so the next student can decide with better information than a rumour. It is free. We are not an employment agency, not a sponsor, and not connected to any employer or sponsor listed here.
Writing a review
By posting, you confirm that:
- · You personally worked at that employer in the season you say.
- · What you write is your honest experience, and the figures are as accurate as you can remember.
- · You were not paid, asked, or pressured by anyone to write it — by the employer, an agency, a sponsor, or a competitor.
Don’t post:
- · Named individuals’ personal details. Criticise the management or the job; don’t publish a colleague’s name, photo or contact details.
- · Accusations of crimes as if they were established fact. Say what you saw, not what you concluded.
- · Anything about somebody else’s job. Review your own.
- · Slurs, threats, or content aimed at a person rather than the workplace.
You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to publish it on SeasonStamp and to show extracts elsewhere when we’re describing the site. If you delete a review, we stop showing it.
What our badges mean, and don’t
Placement verifiedmeans the reviewer gave us an email from their J-1 sponsor naming that employer, and the sponsor’s signature on it checked out. It proves who they are and where they were placed. It does not mean we checked whether their review is true. Nobody can verify what a manager said or how clean the housing was. Read reviews as opinions from people we could confirm were really there.
If you’re an employer and something here is wrong
We publish honest first-hand accounts, including critical ones, and we will not remove a review simply because it is unflattering. But we will act on genuine problems. Email branislav3lelak@gmail.com with the review, what specifically is inaccurate, and why. We will:
- · Confirm we received it, normally within a week.
- · Look at the review against these rules and at what verification the reviewer had.
- · Remove it if it breaks the rules above, is demonstrably false, or was posted by someone who did not work for you.
- · Otherwise leave it, and tell you why. You may send a short response to be published alongside it.
We will never reveal a reviewer’s identity to an employer, and we do not accept payment to remove, hide, or reorder reviews from anyone, ever.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. One account per person. We may suspend or remove accounts that post fake reviews, try to defeat verification, use someone else’s sponsor email, or post on behalf of an employer or agency. You can delete your account whenever you like.
Adding employers
You can add an employer we don’t list if your verified sponsor email names it. Add real employers only, with their real name and location. Duplicates get merged into one page.
What we don’t promise
SeasonStamp is provided as it is. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, that every review is accurate, or that an employer will treat you the way a review describes. Decisions about your own job are yours. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for losses arising from using the site — this doesn’t limit anything that can’t be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by Slovak law, and the courts of Slovakia have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer in the EU, this doesn’t remove protections you have where you live.
Changes
We’ll update this page when the rules change and move the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
